Moped-Riding Mugger Snatches $1,300 Chain from 5-Year-Old Boy in Bronx
An incident occurred on a Bronx street where a moped-riding mugger forcefully ripped off a $1,300 chain from a 5-year-old boy’s neck before speeding away, as reported by law enforcement sources and police.
The unidentified assailant approached the young child on a two-wheeler while he was walking towards his father outside an apartment building on Marion Avenue around 4 p.m. and carried out the brazen theft.
Following the incident, the boy sustained redness and swelling on his neck and required treatment by EMS at the scene.
The stolen chain is estimated to be valued at approximately $1,300, according to sources.

Law enforcement is on the lookout for the thief who was last seen heading northbound on Marion Avenue wearing a multicolored hat, black jacket, and black jeans, as per surveillance footage provided by the NYPD.
