The third season of the show is created and run by Koji Steven Sakai of Little Nalu Pictures, executive producer Victor Elizalde of Viva Pictures, and Quentin Lee of Margin Films. Each episode features a different comedian performing a 30-minute set, providing a platform for emerging AAPI comedy talent.
Originally premiering as a Hulu exclusive in 2018, “Comedy InvAsian” has gained popularity and is currently available for streaming on platforms like Peacock, Tubi, and Amazon Prime. The show has been instrumental in launching the television careers of AAPI comedians such as Atsuko Okatsuka, Joey Guila, Robin Tran, and Jiaoying Summers.
The upcoming Season 3 of “Comedy InvAsian” will be taped during live performances on Valentine’s weekend at the Japanese American National Museum’s Tateuchi Democracy Forum in Los Angeles. Victor Elizalde, president of Viva Pictures, expressed excitement about the new lineup for Season 3, highlighting the show’s role in showcasing diverse talent and providing a platform for the next generation of Asian comedy talent.
