The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion has just been announced, and it’s shaping up to be a tough contender in the budget smartphone market. Building on the success of last year’s Edge 50 Fusion, this new model brings some small but potentially impactful upgrades that could make it a great alternative to Samsung’s Galaxy A26.
One of the standout features of the Edge 60 Fusion is its design. Motorola has once again opted for a curvaceous design, but this time with added durability. The phone boasts military-grade MIL-STD-810H build quality, along with IP68 and IP69 certification for superior water and dust resistance. With Gorilla Glass 7 on the front and a vegan leather finish on the back, the Edge 60 Fusion is not only good-looking but also built to last.
The phone sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2712 x 1220. Under the hood, it is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chip, coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The Edge 60 Fusion also packs a generous 5200mAh battery with 68W wired charging support, although wireless charging is not included.
In terms of photography, the Edge 60 Fusion features a 50MP Sony Lytia sensor with OIS and a 13MP ultrawide lens on the back. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera. While the camera setup remains similar to its predecessor, improvements on the software side are expected.
Motorola has also introduced some key Moto AI features on the Edge 60 Fusion, including ‘Catch me up’ for missed notifications, ‘Pay attention’ for transcribing conversations, and ‘Remember this’ for capturing screen content. The ‘Magic Canvas’ feature allows users to generate images based on natural text descriptions.
The Edge 60 Fusion runs on Motorola’s light-touch skin over Android 15 and promises three years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The phone is available in three Pantone-approved colors – Slipstream, Amazonite, and Zephyr – with prices starting from £299.99. The Edge 60 Fusion is now available for purchase on the Motorola UK website, with Amazon availability expected in mid-April.
With its impressive specs, durable design, and competitive pricing, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is set to rival Samsung’s Galaxy A26. While availability in the US is uncertain, the Edge 60 Fusion is sure to attract budget-conscious consumers looking for a reliable and feature-packed smartphone.
