Mount Sinai Hospital is currently “carefully reviewing” the relationship between a leading doctor, Dr. Eva Andersson-Dubin, and the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Dr. Andersson-Dubin, a renowned physician at Mount Sinai and a former model, has been linked to Epstein in the recently released Epstein files.
A spokesperson from the Mount Sinai Health System expressed their strong condemnation of Epstein’s actions, stating that they are “abhorrent, reprehensible, and stand in direct opposition to what Mount Sinai believes in and stands for as an institution and as medical professionals.” The hospital reassured the public that all patients will always be treated with the highest level of care and respect, but declined to comment on the specifics of Dr. Andersson-Dubin’s clinical care.
Since the release of the files, Mount Sinai has been diligently examining the information available to them and is prepared to take any necessary actions. Reports suggest that Dr. Andersson-Dubin was a former romantic interest of Epstein’s and maintained a close relationship with him even after his conviction for soliciting and procuring a minor for prostitution in 2008. Epstein even referred to Dr. Andersson-Dubin’s daughter, Celina, as his “goddaughter.”
According to the New York Post, Epstein reportedly expressed a desire to marry Celina when she was 19 years old. However, a spokesperson for the Dubin family claimed they were unaware of this intention. Despite Epstein’s status as a registered sex offender, Dr. Andersson-Dubin allegedly invited him to her Colorado home while Celina was present hosting friends.
Celina, now 30 years old, has followed in her mother’s footsteps and is a doctor at Mount Sinai Hospital. The hospital continues to investigate the nature of Dr. Andersson-Dubin’s relationship with Epstein and remains committed to upholding their standards of care and professionalism.
