Multiple blocks of downtown Boulder were emptied on Sunday afternoon following a targeted terror attack that left several individuals injured, as confirmed by the FBI.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced on social media that federal agents were collaborating with local law enforcement at the scene.
The incident, which took place near the Boulder County Courthouse at Pearl and 13th streets in downtown, resulted in multiple injuries, according to the Boulder Police Department’s social media update.

The Anti-Defamation League acknowledged on social media an assault on an event called Boulder Run for Their Lives, a gathering of Jewish community members to support hostages taken on October 7, 2023, during Hamas’ attack on Israel.
Colorado Governor Jared Polis condemned the Boulder incident as a “heinous act of terror.”
“Acts of hatred in any form are intolerable,” Polis stated on social media. “As more information surfaces, the state is collaborating with local and federal law enforcement to aid in the investigation.”
The 1200, 1300, and 1400 blocks of Pearl Street were evacuated, as per a police department update at 3:08 p.m.
These blocks are situated between Pine Street to the north, 15th Street to the east, Walnut Street to the south, and Broadway to the west.
