Narwal Unveils AI-Powered Smart Vacuum Cleaners at CES
Robot vacuum maker Narwal wowed attendees at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) with its latest line of smart vacuum cleaners equipped with cutting-edge AI features. The new flagship model, Flow 2, boasts a sleek rounded design and innovative easy-lift tanks for enhanced cleaning performance.
The standout feature of the Flow 2 is its use of two 1080p RGB cameras with a 136-degree field of view, allowing the device to map out its surroundings and identify various objects using advanced AI algorithms. Narwal claims that the vacuum cleaner can recognize an unlimited number of objects by first attempting local identification and then sending data to the cloud for further processing if needed.
The Flow 2 offers three primary modes: pet care mode, baby care mode, and AI floor tag mode. In pet care mode, users can define specific zones for cleaning where pets usually spend time, while also enabling the device to monitor pets and provide two-way audio communication. Baby care mode ensures a quiet cleaning operation near the crib and alerts users about misplaced toys. The AI floor tag mode helps the vacuum identify valuable items like jewelry, avoid them, and notify users accordingly.
Additionally, Narwal’s latest vacuum cleaner features four cleaning modes tailored to different types of dirt, along with the ability to return to its base for washing the mop and re-mopping specific areas if necessary. The Flow 2’s design allows for higher hot water washing temperatures, ensuring a thorough cleaning process.

Aside from the Flow 2, Narwal also showcased the U50 handheld vacuum, featuring UV-C sterilization and heat treatment for allergen removal. The company demoed an unnamed cordless vacuum with a slim design, 360-degree swivel, and up to 50 minutes of runtime, along with an auto-empty station capable of handling up to 60 days of dust disposal.
