BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
A PROCLAMATION
From the earliest days of our nation’s history, as mills and forges sprang to life, manufacturing has been the keystone of our success, the backbone of our communities, a protector of our autonomy, and a catalyst for our achievements. On this National Manufacturing Day, we honor the extraordinary strength of America’s industrial sector—recognizing the undeniable fact that no other nation can match the power of the American workforce when we produce goods domestically.
In my initial 100 days as President, I have successfully attracted over $5 trillion in new private and foreign investments to the United States, resulting in over 450,000 new jobs and paving the way for a renaissance in American manufacturing superiority. These investments highlight that when we champion domestic production, innovation thrives, factories grow, opportunities expand, and capital returns to our shores.
By implementing reciprocal tariffs on countries whose trade practices jeopardize our economy, we are safeguarding American manufacturing against the unfair tactics that have eroded our industrial base over the years. My approach to tariffs reinforces that American trade policy must prioritize the welfare of our citizens, empower American industries, and ensure that no other nation flourishes at America’s cost. To date, my administration has generated billions in tariff revenue, which will be directed back into communities nationwide for enduring advantages to the American populace.
Concurrently, we are dismantling excessive regulations that hinder innovation and expansion. After a four-year period of decline, we are cutting through bureaucratic red tape, rejecting the missteps of past agendas, and embracing transformative reforms that save taxpayers significant amounts annually. These efforts are igniting growth, fostering creativity, generating jobs, and enabling American businesses to thrive. With the enactment of the landmark One Big Beautiful Bill Act earlier this year, we have introduced 100 percent immediate expensing for new manufacturing plants and upgrades, establishing the U.S. as the premier destination for investment and ensuring that growth remains characteristic of American manufacturing for years ahead. Through a comprehensive government strategy on workforce development, my administration is also leveraging artificial intelligence to boost productivity, revitalize manufacturing, spawn new sectors, and ensure that all American workers benefit from these advancements.
On this National Manufacturing Day, we reaffirm that our nation’s strength lies in the vitality of our industries and the dedication of our workforce. Under my leadership, we are defending domestic manufacturing, enforcing equitable trade practices, attracting new investments to our land, and securing enduring prosperity for our citizens by affirming America’s role as the foremost industrial power in the world.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by the authority conferred upon me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim October 3, 2025, as National Manufacturing Day. I encourage all Americans to honor the entrepreneurs, innovators, and skilled workers in the manufacturing sector who are fortifying our communities.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have set my hand this third day of October, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fiftieth.
DONALD J. TRUMP
