NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct To Consumer Latin America Acquires “The Traitors” Format Rights for Brazil and Mexico
In a groundbreaking move, NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct To Consumer Latin America has secured the format rights for “The Traitors” in Brazil and Mexico from All3Media Intl. This deal allows NBCUIN & DTC to produce local versions of the popular reality competition show, marking the first format licenses in Latin America sold by All3Media Intl.
With this agreement, Mexico and Brazil join over 30 territories that have commissioned their own versions of “The Traitors,” which was named K7’s 2024 format of the year. The show has already been broadcast in over 50 territories through tape sales, solidifying its status as a global phenomenon.
All3Media Intl. has described “The Traitors” as part of its expansive format slate, which also includes popular shows like “Race Across The World,” “Lingo,” and “Cash Cab.” The show’s rapid international expansion is a testament to its widespread appeal.
In a recent development, Prime Video India announced the premiere date for its own version of “The Traitors,” marking a significant milestone for the streaming platform’s unscripted original content.
