Amsterdam-based AI infrastructure firm Nebius Group has announced a groundbreaking agreement with Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, to provide $12 billion worth of AI computing capacity across multiple locations by 2027. This partnership will also see Meta purchasing an additional $15 billion worth of capacity over the next five years, bringing the total value of the contract to a staggering $27 billion. This deal solidifies Nebius’ position as a key player in the AI data center industry.
Last week, Nebius made headlines when Nvidia, a leading semiconductor company, announced a $2 billion investment to acquire an 8.3% stake in the company. Nebius utilizes Nvidia chips in its data centers, highlighting the strategic partnership between the two tech giants.
Nebius’ stock has been on a steady rise, with shares closing at $112.50 on Friday and experiencing a 35% increase since the beginning of the year. The company’s market capitalization now stands at an impressive $28.6 billion, reflecting the growing demand for AI infrastructure solutions.
The collaboration between Nebius and Meta is part of a broader trend in the tech industry, where major players are seeking to secure GPU and power capacity from specialized AI data center providers like Nebius. These “neocloud” providers offer tailored solutions for AI applications, catering specifically to tech companies looking to enhance their computing capabilities.
Nebius CEO, Arkady Volozh, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with Meta, stating that it would accelerate the growth of Nebius’ core AI cloud business. This deal follows previous agreements with Meta and Microsoft, further cementing Nebius’ position as a key player in the cloud services sector.
Despite reporting a net loss of $250 million in the fourth quarter of last year, Nebius remains optimistic about its future prospects. The company expects its revenue to reach between $7 billion and $9 billion by the end of this year, a significant increase from $1.25 billion at the end of 2025. The company’s 2026 guidance remains unchanged, signaling confidence in its ability to deliver on its ambitious growth targets.
Overall, Nebius’ partnership with Meta Platforms and strategic investments from industry giants like Nvidia position the company for continued success in the rapidly evolving AI infrastructure market. With a focus on innovation and customer-centric solutions, Nebius is set to become a major player in the cloud services industry.
