This year’s ZWO Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition attracted entries from 769 photographers and astronomers across 66 countries, with over 4,000 images submitted. The selected finalists showcase a variety of celestial phenomena, ranging from auroras and stars to planets and the moon, captured worldwide. Some photographers emphasize the contrast between space and human environments, while others use telescopic technology to capture distant galaxies and nebulae, resulting in breathtaking composite images.
The winners will be revealed on September 17, followed by a public exhibition opening at London’s National Maritime Museum. This exhibition is complemented by the book Astronomy Photographer of the Year, Collection15.
