Welcome to the World of “Necaxa” – A New Docuseries Starring Eva Longoria
Mark your calendars for August 7th at 9 p.m. ET as FXX prepares to premiere “Necaxa,” a spinoff of the popular show “Welcome to Wrexham” featuring the talented Eva Longoria. The show follows Longoria as she embarks on a mission to breathe new life into Club Necaxa, a football team based in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Longoria has teamed up with the producers of “Welcome to Wrexham,” Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, to bring this exciting project to life. The show delves into the rich history of Club Necaxa, once a dominant force in Mexican football, as it navigates through decades of challenges and reinventions. Despite its ups and downs, a loyal fan base continues to hold onto the hope that their beloved team, the ‘Rayos,’ will rise again.
For the first three weeks, viewers can enjoy two episodes of “Necaxa” every Thursday, followed by a weekly release of one episode thereafter. The show will also be available for streaming on Hulu the day after it airs, and international audiences can catch it on Disney+.
Following the success of “Welcome to Wrexham,” which recently got renewed for a fifth season, Longoria, Mac, and Reynolds are excited to embark on this new venture. The trio, along with a talented team of executive producers and producers, are committed to bringing the story of Club Necaxa to audiences worldwide.
“We are thrilled to witness the collaboration between Eva Longoria, Rob Mac, and Ryan Reynolds as they work to support the dreams and aspirations of the Necaxa fans and the Aguascalientes community. Just like what happened in Wrexham, Wales, we can expect something truly magical to unfold in this new chapter,” said Nick Grad, president of FX Entertainment.
