For the first time in fifty years, the United States may be facing a trend of negative net migration, a revelation brought to light by CNN. This shift comes as President Donald J. Trump makes strides to fulfill his commitment to curtail what he terms a “migrant invasion,” actively deporting undocumented individuals he deems criminal from American neighborhoods.
“We could be witnessing — believe it or not — negative net migration to the United States by 2025. This would mark the first instance of such a decline in half a century, dropping from 2.8 million in 2024. Current figures indicate record low levels, starkly contrasting with the migration trends during the Biden Administration,” states CNN analyst Harry Enten.
This assertion emerged during a more extensive discussion showcasing the remarkable initial six months of President Trump’s second term. In this segment, Enten boldly labels Trump as “the most influential President of this century — and likely extending back several decades.”
