Three prominent Spanish creators, including Oriol Paulo, Alberto Marini, and Jon Sistiaga, are leading new projects for Netflix Spain. Oriol Paulo, known for the successful murder mystery film “The Invisible Guest,” has gathered a stellar Spanish cast for his upcoming project “En nombre de otro.” The cast includes Eduard Fernández, Mario Casas, Blanca Suárez, and Alexandra Jiménez. The movie is described as a fast-paced thriller where nothing is as it seems and is currently in production under the production company Juanita Films.
Alberto Marini, co-creator of popular series like “La Unidad” and “Marbella,” is making his directorial debut with “Lobo,” a miniseries inspired by Spain’s first recorded serial killer, Manuel Blanco Romasanta. The series stars Luis Tosar and features Tristán Ulloa. Marini co-writes the series with Juan Galiñanes and co-directs with Javier Rodríguez Delgado. Netflix has released a first look image of both “Lobo” and “En nombre de otro.”
Jon Sistiaga is directing a doc-feature titled “Miguel Ángel Blanco: las 48 horas que lo cambiaron todo,” co-directed with Juanjo López and produced by The Tintirin Team. The documentary explores the two days following Blanco’s abduction by the terrorist organization ETA in 1997, during which millions of people mobilized to prevent his murder. The documentary aims to revisit this crucial moment of solidarity and compassion in Spanish society.
