Porch Pirate Caught Twerking After Stealing Packages Returns to Victim’s Home
A porch pirate caught on a Ring doorbell camera twerking after stealing packages from a New Jersey home made a bizarre return to the victim’s residence days later to complain about the video being posted online.
The Gloucester Township Police Department shared a video and photos of the wild encounter on Facebook, calling the situation unbelievable.
The footage captured two masked men in hoodies rushing up to a Sicklerville home just after 6:30 p.m. on December 9. While one suspect grabbed an Amazon package from the front stoop, the other decided to bend over, show his clothed behind to the camera, and twerk before both suspects fled the scene.
The stolen packages included drinking glasses and baby items valued at $74, according to the police.
In an effort to identify the thieves, the resident posted the footage on the Ring Neighbors app, leading one of the masked suspects to return to the home two days later.
The suspected porch pirate, wearing a sweatshirt labeled “Hollywood,” approached the camera and showed his phone with the original theft video on the screen, expressing his displeasure at being exposed online.
“Come on, dude, not cool, bro, come on, not cool,” the embarrassed suspect said. “That’s my a– on the internet.”
The suspect returned to the front stoop moments later, holding one of the stolen glasses which was broken, and placed it in front of the house before fleeing once more.
“Uh, I meant to give this back,” the alleged thief said to the camera before leaving.
The Gloucester Township police are seeking assistance in identifying the individuals seen in the videos.
