Taylor Swift, the fiancée of Travis Kelce, and Kylie Jenner were seen engaging in friendly conversation and a warm embrace courtside at Madison Square Garden. This happened shortly after the New York Knicks’ exciting 107-106 win in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs.
This amicable interaction follows a decade after Swift’s 2016 conflict with Jenner’s older sister, Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West, over the song “Famous.”

The root of the issue traces back to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, though Kardashian was not directly involved at the time.
At 19, Swift won Best Female Video for “You Belong With Me.” During her acceptance, Kanye West, Kardashian’s then-future husband, interrupted, saying,
“Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.”
In February 2016, West released “Famous,” which included the controversial lyrics:
“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.”
In July 2016, Kim Kardashian defended West on Snapchat by posting clips of an illegally recorded phone call between West and Swift. The edited clips suggested Swift approved of the track.
Swift discussed the impact of the controversy during her TIME Person of the Year interview in December 2023.
“You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” Swift said. “That took me down psychologically to a place I have never been before.”
In April 2024, Swift released a double album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, including the track “Than(K) you a(IM)ee.”
The song details a schoolyard bully named “Aimee” who stomped on her grave, with Swift expressing gratitude as the experience inspired her legacy. The lyrics also referenced Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, who has publicly danced to Swift’s music on TikTok:
“And one day, your kid comes home singin’ / A song that only us two is gonna know is about you,” Swift sang.
In February 2021, Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West after nearly seven years of marriage.
Taylor Swift announced her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce on August 26, after two years of dating. They plan to marry on July 13.
