Jason Kelce, the former center for the Philadelphia Eagles, is in discussions to potentially join ESPN’s NFL coverage team in 2026. This prospect has prompted a flurry of negative responses from fans.

Reports suggest that ESPN is in the process of setting up the broadcast teams for seven regular-season games to be shown on the NFL Network, which ESPN recently acquired. Ryan Glasspiegel from Front Office Sports indicates that Kelce might be part of this broadcast team for some games. However, his role is not yet confirmed, and details are still being worked out.

Fan responses came quickly.

“Please no I’m sick of this Kelce family everywhere,” one fan wrote.

“So, most of America will be watching on mute,” another fan commented.

“How do companies still think people want to see this guy everywhere,” one fan commented.

Here are more reactions:

“Who actually wants this?” one fan added.

“Fatigue is Real hahaha,” one fan commented.

“Please no. He sucks,” a third fan added.

The seven-game package has an international focus, with five games scheduled in Europe—three in London, one in France, and one in Madrid—and two games set to be played domestically on December 26. The NFL is still in the process of selling the European games to the highest bidder.

Since retiring from the Eagles in 2024, Jason Kelce has been working as a studio personality with ESPN. He is part of the “Monday Night Countdown” team and has appeared on other ESPN studio programs, including coverage of the Masters and The Golf League.

Jason Kelce was recently inducted into the University of Cincinnati’s James P. Kelly Athletics Hall of Fame as part of its 50th Anniversary Class of 2026.

Kelce began his career at Cincinnati in 2006 as a walk-on linebacker. He later transitioned to the offensive line, where he started for three years. During his time there, he earned two All-Big East selections and helped the Bearcats win back-to-back conference championships. In his professional career with the Eagles, Kelce earned six All-Pro selections and seven Pro Bowl honors, won Super Bowl LII in 2018, and played in Super Bowl LVII in 2023 against the Kansas City Chiefs, where he faced his brother, Travis.
