Nick Offerman has joined the star-studded cast of the upcoming Apple TV+ series “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” according to a report by Variety. The series, which has already generated a lot of buzz, will also feature Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, and Michelle Pfeiffer in key roles. Based on the Rufi Thorpe novel of the same name, the eight-episode show was greenlit by Apple after a fierce bidding war earlier this year.
The plot of the series revolves around Margo Millet, played by Elle Fanning, who is the daughter of a Hooters waitress (Michelle Pfeiffer) and an ex-pro wrestler (Nick Offerman). As an unemployed single mother in her early 20s, Margo is struggling to make ends meet, leading her to start an OnlyFans account. When her father reenters her life, she begins incorporating his pro wrestling teachings into her OnlyFans content, which unexpectedly leads to success.
Nick Offerman, known for his roles in popular shows like “Parks and Recreation” and “The Last of Us,” will also be seen in the upcoming Netflix series “Death by Lightning.” In this series, Offerman will play a key role in the story of the assassination of U.S. President James Garfield by Charles Guiteau.
Offerman, who has won Emmy and Independent Spirit Awards for his performances, has established himself as a versatile and talented actor. His recent credits include appearances in “The Umbrella Academy” and the Alex Garland feature film “Civil War.” He is represented by UTA and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
The highly anticipated series “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” is being written, executive produced, and showrun by David E. Kelley. Apart from starring in the series, Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, and Michelle Pfeiffer will also serve as executive producers. The production team includes Brittany Kahan Ward, Dakota Fanning, and Per Saari among others.
With such a talented cast and crew attached to the project, “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” is shaping up to be a must-watch series for fans of drama and compelling storytelling. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new show coming soon to Apple TV+.
