Nico Hulkenberg made history at the 2025 British Grand Prix by securing his first-ever Formula 1 podium on his 239th race start. The German driver’s achievement was celebrated not only by fans but also by his Sauber teammate, Gabriel Bortoleto. The duo, known for their bromance moments throughout the season, had previously scored double points for the team at the Austrian GP.
Unfortunately, Bortoleto had to retire early in the race at Silverstone, but Hulkenberg’s stellar performance more than made up for it. He became the first German driver since Sebastian Vettel to stand on the podium, joining Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris in the celebrations.
