Nicolas Cage is back as the fan-favorite Spider-Man Noir in Prime Video’s upcoming live-action series, “Spider-Noir.” The first look at the series was revealed during Prime Video’s upfronts presentation, showcasing Cage in the iconic black-and-white costume of Spider-Man Noir. The character, first introduced in “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” is based on the “Spider-Man Noir” comic books.
Scheduled for release in 2026, “Spider-Noir” follows the story of an aging private investigator in 1930s New York who must confront his past as the city’s only superhero. The show will be available in both black-and-white and color formats, offering a unique visual experience for viewers.
Joining Cage in the cast are Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Jack Huston. The guest star lineup includes Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, and many more. “Spider-Noir” will premiere on MGM+’s linear channel before being available globally on Prime Video the following day.
Produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video, “Spider-Noir” is helmed by director and executive producer Harry Bradbeer. Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot serve as co-showrunners and executive producers, with the development of the series led by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, the team behind “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” Lord and Miller, along with Aditya Sood and Dan Shear, executive produce for their production company Lord Miller, while Amy Pascal also serves as an executive producer through Pascal Pictures.
With a star-studded cast and a creative team behind the scenes, “Spider-Noir” promises to deliver an exciting and fresh take on the beloved superhero character.
