An insider revealed that the breakup was not a surprise to Urban’s inner circle, noting that the couple has “been living separately for a while now.”

“People close to Keith believed the split was almost predetermined,” the source added.

The separation was confirmed on September 29, with reports stating they have “been living apart since the beginning of summer.”

Sources disclosed that Kidman has been managing their children’s well-being during this period of separation, taking efforts to “hold the family together through this challenging time since Keith has been absent.”

While the specifics of their marital issues remain unclear, a peculiar incident occurred in July when Keith disconnected from an interview after being asked how he felt about his wife’s romantic scenes with Zac Efron in the upcoming film A Family Affair.

Mix 102.3’s host, Max Burford, posed the question: “What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV?”
