Kidman’s meaningful op-ed appeared just months prior to the announcement of her separation from Urban.
In the emotional piece published in May, shortly after Janelle’s passing, Kidman reflected on the lessons learned from her parents’ marriage, which she described as a “beautiful” example for her relationship with the country music icon.
Kidman described her father, the late Antony Kidman, as a devoted husband who provided a shining example of love and devotion, noting, “He was so loving to her and devoted to her and was such a good man. They married very young and made it to 50 years, which is a feat.”

Sources indicate that Kidman attempted to salvage her marriage before Urban left their Nashville residence.
Kidman further attributed the skills necessary for a successful marriage to her parents’ teachings, stating, “I’m very, very fortunate to have created this coming-up-to-20-year marriage. That’s very much because of my parents.”

I’m beyond grateful that I get to say her name to all of you through Halina.”
Fast forward twelve months, and Kidman finds herself heartbroken once again with the announcement of her separation from Urban.
