A tragic incident occurred on Easter Sunday in Vineland, New Jersey, where Louis “Gus” Serbeck, a beloved father, was brutally attacked with a baseball bat and hammer in front of his teenage daughter. The assailants were identified as Eric Hannah and his 17-year-old son, JH, who allegedly assaulted Serbeck’s daughter the day before.
Serbeck, a 54-year-old bodybuilder from Millville, went to the Hannah home with his daughter to address the situation but the confrontation quickly turned violent. JH and Serbeck engaged in a physical altercation, leading to JH striking Serbeck multiple times with a metal baseball bat, while Eric Hannah also participated in the assault.
Tragically, Serbeck succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital. Both JH and Eric Hannah were arrested and charged with homicide and weapons offenses. JH also faces an additional charge of Aggravated Assault for harming Serbeck’s daughter during the altercation.
