A tragic and shocking case has recently come to light in New Jersey, where a young woman, Emily Cruddas, was found dead from a drug overdose in 2023. Initially believed to be a suicide, the circumstances surrounding her death have now been revealed to be far more sinister.

Investigators have uncovered that Emily’s older sister, Sarah Errickson, along with the victim’s boyfriend, Joseph Ragan, were actually responsible for her death. The motive behind this heinous act was an inheritance dispute between Emily and Sarah. It is believed that Sarah gave Emily capsules containing crushed Xanax pills to knock her out, before injecting her with a fatal dose of fentanyl-laced heroin.

According to Ragan’s confession to state investigators, he assisted in the murder by holding Emily down while Sarah administered the lethal injection. Ragan claimed that he cooperated out of fear of Sarah, who had lost custody of her children and blamed Emily for her problems.

The plot to kill Emily reportedly developed after she was hospitalized following a miscarriage. Sarah allegedly blamed Emily for her own struggles and was determined to eliminate her rival for their shared inheritance. This disturbing plan was executed with cold precision, resulting in Emily’s tragic and untimely death.

Recently, a third person has come forward with their own confession, providing further evidence in the case. This individual handed over a backpack containing heroin, the same substance found in Emily’s room. It seems that Sarah’s resentment towards her sister had reached a boiling point, leading to this horrific act of violence.

Sarah Errickson and Joseph Ragan have both been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with Emily Cruddas’ death. The investigation into this chilling crime continues, shedding light on the dark and twisted motivations behind such a senseless tragedy.
