Norqain has brought an unexpected touch of playfulness to the traditional world of Swiss watches. During the Watches and Wonders 2026 event in Geneva, the brand introduced the Freedom Chrono Enjoy Life “Sprinkles” Special Edition. This watch encapsulates the nostalgia of summer in a mechanical form, drawing inspiration from the carefree delight of ice cream treats. The 40mm chronograph merges whimsical design with Swiss horological expertise, embodying Norqain’s philosophy of appreciating life’s simple joys through meticulous craftsmanship. It offers collectors a unique take on classic sport chronographs.
The Norqain Sprinkles chronograph is available in three different styles, catering to a range of tastes and budgets. The model with a stainless steel bracelet is priced at $6,290 USD, the version with a white rubber strap costs $6,150 USD, and the option with a white rubber strap and folding clasp is available for $6,350 USD. Each variation retains the watch’s core character while allowing for personalized wear. Norqainer Community members benefit from a 2+1-year warranty, ensuring additional security with their purchase.
The Dial: Where the Norqain Freedom Chrono Sprinkles Concept Lives
The watch features two dial styles: Strawberry and Blue Raspberry, both matte and adorned with colorful sprinkles coated in Super-LumiNova, allowing them to glow blue in the dark. The white subdial counters at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock stand out against the lively background. Diamond-cut, rhodium-plated hands and applied indexes also use Super-LumiNova for visibility in any light. A black tachymeter scale encircles the white outer ring.
The dial’s tri-compax layout follows the 3-6-9 pattern, with a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6, and small seconds at 9. The thin, polished central chronograph seconds hand contrasts with the dial, adding to the visual complexity. The box-type sapphire crystal has a double anti-reflective coating. On the back, the sapphire caseback is inscribed with “Enjoy Life,” a simple yet profound detail.
A standout feature is the date window between 4 and 5 o’clock, where once a week, an ice cream cone icon takes the place of the numeral. Unlike the 2025 Ice Cream edition, this year’s model has sprinkles on the icon. Monthly, Kermit, eat your heart out.

Case, Movement, and What Powers the Fun

The 40mm case is crafted from 316L stainless steel and includes a side plate that can be personalized with an engraving. Its thickness is 14.9mm, and lug-to-lug measures 49.2mm. The watch offers 100 meters of water resistance, supported by a screw-down crown featuring the Norqain logo. These proportions are consistent with other Freedom Chrono models, emphasizing that this is a genuine 40mm sports chronograph with a playful spirit.
Powered by the Calibre N19, a modified Sellita SW510 automatic movement, the watch provides a 62-hour power reserve with column-wheel chronograph architecture. It is not chronometer-certified, aligning with its focus on enjoying life rather than precise timekeeping.
The Food Watch Subgenre and Where Norqain Sits in It

The Sprinkles is part of a broader trend of watches inspired by whimsical food items that emerged around 2021. Studio Underd0g launched its Watermelon chronograph, and Oris introduced its Cotton Candy series of bronze divers. Since then, the category has grown, with Studio Underd0g focusing its catalog on edible themes, Oris expanding its line into steel, and Breitling releasing a pistachio-colored Top Time. What Norqain is doing within this subgenre is noteworthy. The brand isn’t just adding a fun color to an existing dial; it has created a comprehensive program with features like a weekly ice cream complication and glow-in-the-dark sprinkles. This is a thoughtful, ongoing project, as highlighted by Norqain CEO Ben Küffer: “The world can feel heavy with bad news, but our message is simple: life is a gift and life is short. Enjoy the freedoms you have, celebrate the good moments, treasure time with family and friends, and make the most of every minute.”
