Northbound Interstate 25 is currently shut down in Weld County due to fire activity, as reported by the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The closure took place at Exit 245 for Mead around 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, according to CDOT officials.
This closure is located approximately 40 miles north of Denver and 10 miles northeast of Longmont.
Further details regarding the fire are not yet available as of Wednesday morning. As of 8 a.m., northbound traffic is facing delays of up to 25 minutes in the area, as confirmed by CDOT officials.
While southbound I-25 remains open, drivers on the southbound side are encountering delays of up to 15 minutes near Mead on Wednesday morning.
