Nothing Unveils Its Latest Flagship Phone, the Phone (3)
After a two-year hiatus, Nothing has finally launched its newest flagship phone, the Phone (3), at an event in London. Priced starting at $799, the Phone (3) is set to compete with industry giants like Samsung and Apple, targeting tech enthusiasts with its unique design and features.
Following the transparent design language of its predecessors, the Phone (3) introduces a fresh camera arrangement that deviates from the conventional square or circular layouts seen on other smartphones. This new design element may not sit well with those sensitive to unaligned elements on devices.
Nothing has also replaced its previous Glphy LED arrangement with a new feature called Glphy Matrix, a small circular mini LED screen located on the back of the device. This new addition displays 16-bit patterns and offers more functionality than its predecessor.

In addition to the design upgrades, Nothing has incorporated AI-powered features into the Phone (3). Essential Space allows users to record meetings and view AI-generated transcriptions and summaries by pressing a dedicated key on the device. Essential Search, similar to iPhone’s Spotlight search, enables users to search for settings, files, and photos using keywords or natural language queries.

Specifications and Availability
The Phone (3) boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor on a 4-nanometer architecture, the device features a trio of 50-megapixel cameras with distinct functionalities. The selfie camera has been upgraded to 50 megapixels, and the phone houses a 5150 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities.
Shipping with Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15, the Phone (3) will later be updated to Nothing OS 4.0, built on Android 16. The device promises five years of software updates and seven years of security updates. Priced at $799 for the 256GB model and $899 for the 512GB model, the Phone (3) will be available for pre-order on July 4 and released on July 15.
Nothing is expanding its availability in the U.S., offering the Phone (3) through its website and Amazon, making it the second widely available device from the company. Previous budget models were only accessible through a limited beta program.
