Nothing Phone (3): A Closer Look at Nothing’s Upcoming Flagship Smartphone

A leaked image of the upcoming Nothing Phone (3) has surfaced, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from Nothing’s highly anticipated flagship smartphone. However, it seems that something iconic is missing from this new device.

Nothing has confirmed that they are ditching their iconic Glyph lighting system, and the leaked image render by journalist Max Jambor seems to validate this claim. The absence of flashy lights in the image is quite noticeable.

The new phone is rumored to feature a dot-matrix lighting system in place of the Glyph system, but it is not visible in the leaked render. The design of the device resembles previous Nothing phones, such as the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, with a familiar semi-transparent aesthetic. There seems to be no space for additional lights on the back of the phone unless they are concealed beneath the rear cover.

There is a possibility that the dot-matrix display could function similarly to the one seen on the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro, where it only becomes visible when activated. This innovative approach to lighting is not out of the question for Nothing’s new flagship device.

In terms of design, the Nothing Phone (3) features a subtle camera module, unlike the more prominent circular module on the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. The individual camera mountings stand out against the back of the phone, adding to its sleek and minimalist look.

Nothing founder Carl Pei has hinted that the Nothing Phone (3) will be priced around £800, positioning it as the company’s first true flagship smartphone. Pei promises premium materials, significant performance upgrades, and enhanced software capabilities that will elevate the user experience.

The official launch of the Nothing Phone (3) is scheduled for July 1, 2025, at 6 pm BST. Fans and tech enthusiasts alike are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of Nothing’s latest creation, which promises to set a new standard for flagship smartphones.
