Novak Djokovic, the tennis legend, was recently honored with the Global Lifetime Achievement Award at the World Sports Summit in Dubai, UAE. At 38 years old, Djokovic continues to impress with his phenomenal performances on the court. In 2025, he not only clinched titles in Geneva and Athens but also reached the semifinals of all four Grand Slam events.

During the award ceremony, a throwback clip from Djokovic’s early career days was shown, where commentators referred to him as a hungry, skinny youngster with uncertain potential. Reflecting on his journey, Djokovic humorously remarked, “They’re right, I’m still hungry.”

Despite qualifying for the ATP Finals, Djokovic decided to withdraw from the event to prioritize his fitness for the upcoming season. He expressed his passion for the sport at the summit, stating his desire to continue playing until the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

Looking ahead to 2026, Djokovic aims to secure his 25th Major title, with the Australian Open being a key target. The Serbian star acknowledged the need to rebuild his body for the future, emphasizing the importance of staying fit and competitive at the highest level.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Djokovic has enlisted the services of serving coach Mark Kovacs, known for his work with top players like Coco Gauff and Madison Keys. With a focus on improving his serving performance, Djokovic is gearing up for the Adelaide International, where he will look to add another title to his impressive resume.

As Djokovic continues to defy age and expectations, his unwavering dedication to the sport and relentless pursuit of excellence serve as an inspiration to aspiring athletes worldwide. With a decorated career behind him and ambitious goals ahead, Novak Djokovic remains a force to be reckoned with in the world of tennis.
