Passers-by can be seen running down White Plains Road as gunshots rang out at G&W Grocery around 4:50 p.m., as per the obtained video footage.
Amid the chaos, a local shopkeeper managed to usher an elderly woman to safety inside his store as the suspects made their escape.
Authorities revealed that the gunmen pursued two men into the bodega and opened fire, with the targets resorting to using the 40-year-old mother as a shield during the attack.

Witnesses recounted the panic that ensued after the gunfire, with people fleeing the area in fear for their safety.
The surveillance footage captured one individual fleeing the scene, followed by two others running down the block in the aftermath of the shooting.
While the suspects remain at large, law enforcement officials are actively pursuing leads to apprehend those responsible for the senseless act of violence.
