A Man Shot in the Face in Manhattan Park
According to sources, a man was shot in the face in a Manhattan park by two moped-riding armed hooligans. The victim discharged his own gun at the attempted robbers as they fled.
The incident took place in Fort Washington Park along the Hudson River around 11:50 p.m. The victim and a female companion were sitting on a rock when they were approached by the two men on a moped, as per police sources.
Following a brief exchange and tussle, one of the moped-riding men fired a gun, hitting the victim in the face. The victim then retaliated by shooting two shots in the direction of the suspects who fled on the moped, according to the NYPD.
The victim is expected to survive, and an investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
