Fast Food Fiend Strikes Again: Gun-Wielding Robber Targets Bronx Eateries
A crime spree involving a fast food-loving crook has left Bronx residents on edge as the suspect continues to target junk food joints in the area. The NYPD is currently on the hunt for the suspect who has robbed four chain restaurants over a span of nine days, with his latest heist involving the brazen theft of a cash register caught on camera.
The suspect, dubbed the real-life Hamburglar, first struck at a Kennedy Fried Chicken in Claremont Village on Feb. 17 at 1 a.m. After ordering a meal, he brandished a gun and made off with a wad of cash from the establishment near Third Avenue and St. Pauls Place, according to police reports.
His crime spree continued on Feb. 25 when he targeted a Wing Stop in Pelham Bay, threatening an employee and making off with a cash register. Just an hour and a half later, he struck again at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Eastchester, stealing $150 from an employee at gunpoint.
His final robbery took place at a White Castle in Soundview, where he not only ordered food but also ripped out a cash register in front of terrified employees before calmly walking out with it. Surveillance footage captured the daring theft, showing the suspect making a clean getaway in a black SUV after each incident.

The NYPD is urging anyone with information on these robberies to come forward by calling the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
