The New York City Police Department is actively seeking an arrest warrant for La’keysha Jackson, a 24-year-old city-funded babysitter who was caught on video brutally beating two young boys with a belt in the Bronx. The disturbing incident took place on May 6th, but the family only reported it nearly a month later, prompting the police to take action.

Despite their efforts to locate Jackson, she has managed to evade capture, leaving law enforcement authorities frustrated. However, the NYPD is planning to convene a grand jury on Wednesday to issue an arrest warrant, which would allow them to forcibly enter Jackson’s residence and apprehend her.

The heart-wrenching footage captured by The Post shows Jackson mercilessly striking the 4 and 6-year-old boys multiple times with a belt as they cry out in pain. The children were reportedly being punished for not cleaning their room, a trivial offense that led to a violent outburst from the babysitter.

In the video, Jackson can be heard threatening the children with the belt, callously disregarding their pleas. She even went as far as wearing a terrifying Halloween mask and a Santa Claus outfit to intimidate the young boys, creating a traumatizing environment for them.

According to the children’s mother, Geraldine Jaramillo, the abuse extended beyond physical violence, with Jackson also subjecting the kids to emotional and verbal mistreatment. Jaramillo expressed her concern for her sons’ well-being, noting that they have become more aggressive towards each other since the incident.

Jackson was employed by Selfhelp, a home aid provider contracted by the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), to assist struggling families with childcare. However, following the incident, Jackson has been terminated, and ACS is cooperating with the NYPD in their investigation.

The family is now seeking justice for the traumatizing ordeal their children endured, hoping to hold Jackson accountable for her actions. Jaramillo emphasized the need to address the emotional impact on her sons and ensure that they receive the support they need to recover from the abuse.

As the investigation continues, authorities are working diligently to locate Jackson and bring her to justice for the reprehensible treatment of the innocent children under her care. The community is rallying behind the family, offering support and solidarity as they navigate this challenging time.
