Gabbard Calls for Accountability Following Comey’s Controversial Post
On Thursday evening, Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), made headlines by advocating for the imprisonment of former FBI Director James Comey.
Comey stirred controversy with a cryptic Instagram post featuring seashells arranged to spell out the numbers “86 47.” In his caption, he remarked, “Cool shell formation on my beach walk.”

Following significant backlash, Comey deleted the post and offered a bewildering explanation.
In his update, he claimed, “I posted earlier a picture of some shells I saw today on a beach walk, which I assumed were a political message. I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me, but I oppose violence of any kind, so I took the post down.”
Comey’s assertion that he, a former FBI Director, was unaware of the implications of the term “86” stretches credulity. Furthermore, he suggested that he fortuitously stumbled upon a shell formation that resembled a violent message while simply enjoying a leisurely beach walk.

It’s worth noting that Comey’s post comes in the wake of alarming incidents involving President Trump, including a shooting attempt at a campaign rally and another near his golf course.
Tulsi Gabbard expressed her concerns about the implications of Comey’s actions. “James Comey, in my view, should be held accountable and put behind bars for this,” she stated during an interview with Jesse Watters. “I’m very concerned for the president’s life. We’ve already seen assassination attempts. I’m very concerned for his life.”

In the aftermath of this incident, the FBI, DHS, and Secret Service have launched an investigation into Comey’s online activity. Kash Patel, an FBI Director, confirmed, “We are aware of the recent social media post by former FBI Director James Comey directed at President Trump. We are in communication with the Secret Service and Director Curran. Primary jurisdiction is with SS on these matters, and we, the FBI, will provide all necessary support.”
