Long, flowing gowns have become a signature part of your concert wardrobe. Are there any standout outfits from your summer tour or festivals that you loved?
I truly cherish every outfit. Iām fortunate enough to wear the most exquisite pieces. One of my favorites was a breathtaking Alexander McQueen dress that had a bird-like design during my performance in Toronto; it was a joy to move in. I felt like Cha-Cha from Grease, which was such a fun vibe. Another highlight was a stunning dress designed by Erdem, also worn in Toronto, that swelled out like a fairytale princess with a lovely petticoat underneath. Honestly, when do you ever get to wear a petticoat?
When it comes to your tour looks, do you have a set of criteria that they must meet? Is comfort a priority, or does it need to illuminate under stage lights?
I believe an outfit has to fulfill a few specific criteria, but I donāt think it can meet all at once. For me, it must have some sparkle; if it sparkles, thatās a big win. Alternatively, it should possess an intriguing silhouette that influences how I move. On a fundamental level, it needs to make me feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable. If I’m uncomfortable, my performance wonāt be at its best. Feeling beautiful is vital for me to truly shine on stage. And yes, I absolutely adore sparkles!
What are your plans for after the album release? Is there anything youāre especially excited about?
Once September rolls around and my album is out, I might consider taking a holiday over the Christmas period. Iād love to revisit Brazil; it has a special place in my heart. Experiencing Carnival there is something I dream ofāI want to immerse myself in the vibrant celebrations and really let loose.
That sounds wonderful! Do you plan to stay in London, or is there a desire to relocate elsewhere in the future?
Itās interesting that you mention that. Just yesterday, I was in a conversation about all my aspirations. London holds so much significance in my life, with all my friends and family here. However, I can definitely envision spending some time in New York; it really resonates with me. Iām dreaming of that Sex and the City lifestyle. So, who knowsāperhaps I might find myself there one day!
