Law enforcement sources have reported that one of the four detainees who escaped from an ICE detention center in New Jersey has been captured in Passaic. Joel Enrique Sandoval-Lopez was apprehended by FBI and ICE agents on Saturday morning.
Authorities had been offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the fugitives. Sandoval-Lopez, who has been arrested twice in the past year for unlawful possession of a handgun and aggravated assault, was part of a group of inmates who escaped from Delaney Hall on June 12 by pushing down a wall in a dormitory room after a revolt involving approximately 50 inmates.
