Viz Media, a prominent manga and anime platform, has officially secured the rights to produce and distribute “One-Punch Man” Season 3, much to the excitement of fans eagerly awaiting the return of this satirical superhero series.

The agreement covers a wide range of rights including theatrical releases, television broadcasts, digital streaming, home entertainment, merchandise, and ancillary products across North America, Latin America, and Oceania. The highly anticipated Japanese broadcast of Season 3 is scheduled to premiere in October.

“One-Punch Man,” created by manga artist One and illustrated by Yusuke Murata, revolves around the story of Saitama, a hero who has become so incredibly powerful through rigorous training that he can defeat any adversary with just a single punch. The upcoming season will delve into the thrilling Monster Association arc, where S-class heroes strategize a daring rescue mission while the formidable “human monster” Garou awakens within the enemy’s lair.

Fans will be delighted to know that J.C. Staff will be returning as the animation studio for the third season, with Tomohiro Suzuki taking charge of series composition and character designs crafted by Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, and Ryosuke Shirakawa. The music for the season will be composed by Makoto Miyazaki.

The original webcomic by One, which garnered over 10 million hits, is currently serialized on the webcomic site Tonari No Young Jump (Shueisha) and has achieved immense commercial success with over 33 million copies in circulation. The franchise has also proven to be a merchandising powerhouse, spawning a range of products from video games to collectibles.

The first season of “One-Punch Man” received widespread critical acclaim during its initial run from October to December 2015, followed by a second season that aired from April to June 2019. Both seasons are currently available for streaming on Hulu in the U.S. and Netflix in Canada and Latin America. Additionally, digital purchase options are accessible through platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Google Play, Apple TV, Microsoft Movies & TV, and YouTube in the U.S. and Canadian markets.
