OnePlus has recently introduced its latest smartwatch, the Watch 3. However, the spotlight has shifted slightly due to a rather embarrassing typo that has surfaced, potentially turning the smartwatch into a collector’s item.

If you haven’t been following the online chatter, the initial batch of OnePlus Watch 3 devices featured a comical misprint on their backplates. Instead of the standard “Made in China” inscription, these watches proudly display “Meda in China.”

The response from OnePlus was lighthearted, with the brand’s US team acknowledging that this error was completely unintentional. In fact, they even went as far as suggesting that those fortunate enough to own a “Meda in China” Watch 3 should consider holding onto it as a “super limited edition” piece.

For those who are not too keen on owning a watch with a typo, OnePlus is offering free returns. However, if you happen to be in possession of one of these typo-laden timepieces, you may want to think twice before sending it back, as you could be holding a unique piece of tech history on your wrist.

Priced at £319/$329.99, the OnePlus Watch 3 is available in two elegant finishes: Obsidian Titanium and Emerald Titanium.

For a more in-depth look at what the Watch 3 has to offer (beyond its amusing typo), be sure to check out our comprehensive review of the OnePlus Watch 3.
