OnePlus has started rolling out its OxygenOS 16 updates to the affordable Nord smartphone series. The latest custom UI, based on Google’s Android 16, is now available as a free update for the OnePlus Nord 5, OnePlus Nord 4, and the OnePlus Nord CE 5.
The update seems to be making its way to devices in India first, with a global rollout expected shortly after. This move comes shortly after the OxygenOS 16 update was released for flagship phones like the OnePlus 13 in November, following its debut on the OnePlus 15 in October.
OxygenOS 16 brings a variety of new features and improvements, weighing in at around 3.32GB. The update includes Google’s November 2025 Android security patch and introduces a new design with a more extensive use of the Gaussian blur effect for a sleeker look reminiscent of Liquid Glass.
One notable enhancement is the more customizable Quick Settings panel, which now displays more pronounced time and date information. System-wide themed icons have been added, and Flux Themes now offer more depth. OnePlus has also focused on improving animation fluidity in OxygenOS 16, which will be interesting to experience on lower-end hardware.
As the update rolls out to Nord devices, users can expect these new features and more. Stay tuned for a smoother and more visually appealing user experience with the OxygenOS 16 update on your OnePlus Nord device.
