OnePlus has officially unveiled its latest tablet offering, the OnePlus Pad 3, and it appears to be a strong contender in the flagship tablet market. Despite the confusing naming convention, the OnePlus Pad 3 offers a compelling package at an attractive price point, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the OnePlus Pad 2.

The standout feature of the OnePlus Pad 3 is its incredibly slim profile, measuring just 5.97mm thick. The use of a special type of aluminum not only ensures durability but also keeps the tablet lightweight at 675g. Available in Storm Blue or Frosted Silver colors, with the former being the option for European consumers.

The specifications of the OnePlus Pad 3 are impressive. It is one of the first tablets to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 12 or 16GB of RAM. The inclusion of a graphene composite material in the vapor chamber ensures top-notch performance. In terms of benchmarks, the OnePlus Pad 3 is expected to outperform the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.

Storage options for the OnePlus Pad 3 include 256GB or 512GB, with a large 12,140mAh battery keeping the device running. The tablet supports 80W SuperVooc fast charging for quick recharging.

The display on the OnePlus Pad 3 is a spacious 13.2-inch LCD with a resolution of 3392 x 2400 (3.4K) and a 144Hz refresh rate. The 7:5 aspect ratio and a peak brightness of 900 nits deliver vibrant visuals with 12-bit color support. Audio quality is also a focus, with an eight-speaker setup comprising four woofers and four tweeters.

Interestingly, the OnePlus Pad 3 does not feature a fingerprint sensor. The camera setup includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, capable of recording 4K video at 30fps.

One of the standout features of the OnePlus Pad 3 is its software experience. Running on OxygenOS 15 Tablet Edition based on Android 15, the tablet offers enhanced multitasking and screen sharing capabilities. Users can easily share, mirror, and even control nearby phones and laptops, including Mac devices. The Open Canvas feature allows for seamless multitasking between different apps.

In terms of accessories, OnePlus has introduced an upgraded keyboard with larger keys and adjustable viewing angles, as well as a redesigned tri-fold case with stronger magnets. The OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus offers a premium experience for sketching and note-taking, with 16,000 pressure levels and a faux-leather texture.

The OnePlus Pad 3 will be available for purchase starting June 19, 2025, with prices starting at £529 for the 12GB/256GB model and £599 for the 16GB/512GB variant. The keyboard accessory is priced at £169, while the OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus costs £99.

Overall, the OnePlus Pad 3 offers a compelling combination of performance, design, and features at a competitive price point, making it a strong contender in the tablet market.
