A recent poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research revealed that many Americans are not in favor of President Trump’s swift efforts to implement his agenda. Surprisingly, even Republicans are not completely convinced that his focus has been on the right priorities.

The survey showed that Americans are almost twice as likely to believe that Trump has been concentrating on the wrong issues rather than the right ones. Additionally, approximately 4 in 10 Americans described Trump’s performance in his second term as “terrible,” while only about 3 in 10 viewed it as “great” or “good.”

Despite the lack of shock over the events of Trump’s first 100 days, the majority of U.S. adults are not pleased with the direction of his presidency. Democrats, in particular, are increasingly dissatisfied with Trump, with the majority believing he is focusing on the wrong topics and rating him as a “terrible” president.

Rahsaan Henderson, a Democrat from California, expressed his frustration with the first 100 days of Trump’s second term, calling it one of the longest periods he has endured. He anticipates a challenging four years ahead, marked by resistance and defiance.

On the other hand, Republicans are more supportive of Trump, with about 7 in 10 considering him a “good” president. However, there is some ambivalence regarding his priorities, as only half believe he has focused on the right issues.

While some Americans were surprised by Trump’s initial actions, those who did not expect them are more critical of his performance. The poll also indicated that approval of Trump’s handling of immigration is higher than his overall approval rating.

Despite the mixed opinions, Trump continues to enjoy high approval ratings among Republicans. However, there are signs that some supporters are becoming less enthusiastic about his presidency as time progresses.

Overall, Trump’s performance in his second term, particularly in areas like foreign policy and the economy, is receiving scrutiny from both sides of the political spectrum. Democrats are particularly critical, while Republicans are more supportive of his efforts to reduce government spending and prioritize American interests.

It remains to be seen how Trump’s presidency will evolve over the coming years, but the current sentiment suggests a divided nation with varying opinions on his leadership.
