A week prior to its official launch, the Oppo Find X9 smartphone was showcased in an unboxing video.
Oppo is set to unveil its flagship smartphone series on 16 October, and early glimpses give us a solid understanding of its design.
Tech journalist Noah Cat posted a short clip on X, featuring the Oppo Find X9 being unveiled from its packaging.
The manner in which the device is extracted from the box almost qualifies as an initial drop test, making for a rather intriguing reveal.
Design of the Oppo Find X9
In comparison to last year’s Oppo Find X8, the Oppo Find X9 boasts a significantly different aesthetic. While the general silhouette resembles previous models—evoking an iPhone-like feel—the new device features a more compact, square, off-center camera module, replacing the larger, centered circular design of its predecessor.
This new camera setup also mirrors the one expected on the OnePlus 15, a logical outcome considering the close relationship between the brands.
Additionally, the unboxing reveals the stylish animated wallpaper of ColorOS 16 UI that comes with the phone.
We also see a color-coordinated silicone case that appears to be included with the phone—a thoughtful addition.

Specifications of the Oppo Find X9
Recently, Oppo teased the front design of the Find X9 featuring ultra-slim bezels and revealed that it will be equipped with a 7,025mAh battery, while the Pro model will host an even larger 7,500mAh battery.
It’s rumored that both models will utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Given my previous experience with the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11, I have confidence in the Find X9’s performance capabilities.
The camera setup might feature a triple 50MP configuration in the standard model, while the Pro version could have an extensive quad-camera system that includes a remarkable 200MP sensor.
It’s safe to say that the Pixel 10 and Google Pixel 10 Pro should be wary of what Oppo has planned, especially considering the competitive pricing strategies of previous Find X models.
