The tech wearables market is often dominated by bulky and unattractive designs, but Oura is changing the game with their latest smart ring, the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic. This new collection of smart rings from Oura is a departure from the traditional metallic finishes, opting instead for zirconia ceramic material that promises style and comfort.

Having tested the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic for three weeks, I can attest to its impressive qualities. The ring comes in four elegant colors – Midnight, Cloud, Tide, and Petal – with a price tag of $500, making it $150 more expensive than the standard Ring 4. Available in sizes 4-15, the Ring 4 Ceramic offers a sleek and modern look that blends seamlessly with your jewelry collection.

I chose the Midnight color, which can appear black or dark green from a distance, giving it a discreet and stylish appearance. Despite being slightly thicker and heavier than the original Ring 4, the Ceramic version is surprisingly comfortable and lightweight. The smooth finish of the ceramic material is less prone to fingerprints, and the color remains vibrant over time, thanks to natural minerals in the ceramic.

In terms of durability, Oura advises against exposing the Ring 4 Ceramic to softer metals to avoid scuffs. While wearing it on your non-dominant hand is recommended, I found it comfortable on my dominant hand and managed to keep it scratch-free through daily activities and even while traveling.

The Oura Ring 4 Ceramic is water-resistant up to 100 meters, but caution is advised when it comes into contact with softer metals. The battery life is impressive, lasting between five and eight days on a single charge. Ultimately, choosing between the titanium and ceramic ring comes down to personal preference and aesthetic taste.

If you’re looking for a smart ring that combines style, functionality, and comfort, the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic is worth considering. With its modern design, vibrant colors, and reliable performance, it’s a standout option in the world of tech wearables.
