Ozzy Osbourne to Make Emotional Return to Stage at Villa Park
After a period of health struggles, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne is gearing up for an emotional return to the stage at Villa Park. The former Black Sabbath frontman, who has been battling Parkinson’s disease, is set to perform alongside his bandmates Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward in what promises to be a memorable event for fans.
Osbourne, who has been working with a vocal coach to keep his voice in top shape, expressed his excitement for the upcoming performance. “I’ve been lying on my back doing nothing and the first thing to go is your strength. It’s like starting all over again. I’ve got a vocal coach coming round four days a week to keep my voice going,” he shared.
His daughter Kelly also spoke about the significance of the Villa Park show, describing it as a moment for Osbourne to give back to his loyal fans. “It gives me goosebumps just talking about it because it’s his moment to give back and it’s not about anything other than his love for his fans,” she said. “I think it’s going to be a really magical moment.”
Despite his health challenges, Osbourne’s wife and manager Sharon assured fans that his voice remains unaffected by the progression of his illness. “He’s very happy to be coming back and very emotional about this,” she said. “Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It affects different parts of the body and it’s affected his legs. But his voice is as good as it’s ever been.”
After relocating back to the UK in 2023, Osbourne expressed his joy at returning to his homeland. “I’m English. I want to be back,” he stated. “I’ve had enough of living in America. I want to come home.”
As Osbourne and his bandmates prepare to take the stage at Villa Park, fans can look forward to a night filled with powerful performances and heartfelt moments. It’s sure to be a show that will go down in rock history.
