Recent court records obtained by TMZ Sports reveal that NBA player P.J. Washington has been mandated to disburse $5,500 each month in child support to Brittany Renner.
The stipulations were formalized in a consent order from Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, in November 2024.
The court documents further stipulate that Washington is to pay a lump sum of $130,000 to address “all existing child support obligations that accrued prior to this consent order, as well as covering [Renner’s] legal fees.”
This information came to light following Renner’s notice filed in a Los Angeles County court, aimed at securing her ability to continue receiving payments in California, even though the original order was instituted in North Carolina.
Notably, Renner’s filing indicated that Washington is current on his payments, with $0 in arrears, suggesting that he has been fulfilling his financial obligations reliably.
Rumors surrounding the child support amounts have been nothing short of sensationalized, as some speculated monthly obligations could reach up to $200,000. Renner herself later clarified in an interview that the figure was “$2,500 per month.”
Washington and Renner’s relationship blossomed in 2019, after he made an overture during one of her visits to his games at Kentucky. Their romance was publicized in 2020, leading to the birth of their son in 2021.
The custody exchanges have reportedly been tense, with Brittany Renner and her mother engaged in a heated argument with P.J. Washington and his wife during one exchange, asserting that the child expresses distress at leaving with him.

Since their separation, interactions between Washington and Renner have remained far from amicable, as evidenced by a recent public altercation while Washington was collecting their child from her residence.
Washington has since moved on with Alisah Chanel, and he recently inked a lucrative 4-year contract extension worth $90 million with the Dallas Mavericks.
