New Delhi: India has extended invitations to Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other neighboring countries to participate in a seminar commemorating 150 years of the India Meteorological Department. The event aims to celebrate the shared history of the Indian subcontinent and foster unity among nations.
Pakistan has confirmed its participation, while Bangladesh’s confirmation is pending. The initiative seeks to bring together officials from countries that were part of undivided India at the time of IMD’s establishment.
Various ministries in the Government of India have come together to make the event special. The Finance Ministry will release a limited-edition Rs 150 commemorative coin, and the Home Ministry has approved a special tableaux for Republic Day.
