In light of this, Bondi appears to be resorting to more extreme measures to safeguard her role, and indeed, she has gone quite far.
In a recent clash, Bondi launched a verbal assault on Judiciary Committee ranking member Rep. Jamie Raskin, but her approach resembled more of a teenager throwing a tantrum than a seasoned political figure.
Raskin addressed Chair Jim Jordan, stating, “You can let her filibuster all day long. But not on our watch. We claim not on our time. No way.”
Turning to Bondi, he added, “And I told you about that Attorney General before you started.”
Bondi retorted, “You don’t tell me anything.”
To which Raskin shot back, “Oh, I did tell you because we saw what you did in the Senate.”
In a moment that could only be described as unprofessional, Bondi labeled Raskin a “washed-up lawyer,” muttering under her breath, “not even a lawyer.”
It’s worth noting that should the Democrats reclaim the House, Raskin will ascend to the role of committee chair, placing him in a position with direct oversight over Bondi and the DOJ. One can only anticipate the fireworks that would ensue during those hearings.
