Fans of the hit show “Paradise” were in for a treat at San Diego Comic-Con, where they were treated to exclusive footage from the upcoming second season. The first look at Season 2 featured new star Shailene Woodley in a gripping scene that left attendees on the edge of their seats.
Creator Dan Fogelman and series star Sterling K. Brown introduced the footage, which turned out to be from the Season 2 premiere. The clip introduces Woodley’s character, a tour guide at Elvis Presley’s Graceland, who is full of interesting facts about the legendary musician. She also has a knack for humor, as seen in her joke about Elvis impersonators. However, the light-hearted moment takes a dark turn when it is revealed that the world is on the brink of disaster. Woodley’s character, along with a security guard, must gather supplies and seek shelter in the historic home’s basement.
After the intense clip, Brown brought Woodley on stage to the excitement of the crowd. Woodley admitted to feeling the stress of the scene, saying, “I’m sweating! That was crazy!” While not much has been revealed about her character, Fogelman praised Woodley’s performance, calling it a “tour de force.”
In a separate interview at the Comic Con Variety Studio, Brown teased what fans can expect in Season 2, including Woodley’s standout performance. The full interview can be watched in the video above.
With the anticipation building for the new season of “Paradise,” fans can look forward to more surprises and thrilling moments as the story unfolds. Stay tuned for more updates on what lies ahead for the characters and the world they inhabit.
