A tragic incident occurred in Michigan last year when a young star-athlete, Flynn MacKrell, lost his life in a 100-mph crash. The driver, Kiernan Tague, was only 16 at the time and was traveling at an alarming speed of 105 mph in a 25-mph zone when he lost control of the vehicle, ultimately resulting in the fatal crash.

The text messages exchanged between Tague and his mother, Elizabeth Puleo-Tague, revealed a concerning pattern of reckless driving behavior. Elizabeth warned her son about his speeding habits, even going as far as to express fear for his safety. Despite this, she continued to allow him access to high-performance vehicles, such as a BMW that could reach speeds of 177 mph.

The parents of Flynn MacKrell, Anne Vanker and Thad MacKrell, are seeking justice for their son’s death. They believe that Elizabeth Puleo-Tague failed to take reasonable actions to prevent her son from driving, despite knowing about his reckless behavior behind the wheel. The evidence from the text messages will be crucial in their pursuit of justice.

In addition to the reckless driving incidents, there were also reports of domestic violence involving Kiernan Tague and his mother. Elizabeth had expressed fear of her son, and there were instances where he had assaulted her. These troubling incidents paint a picture of a troubled relationship between mother and son.

The Mackrell family plans to use the evidence against Elizabeth Puleo-Tague, similar to the case of the parents of the Oxford High School shooter who were convicted for their role in the tragedy. While no charges have been filed against Elizabeth Puleo-Tague yet, the family is determined to seek justice for Flynn.

Kiernan Tague is currently facing second-degree murder charges for the death of Flynn MacKrell. Despite his age at the time of the incident, he is being charged as an adult designated, leaving the possibility of a sentence as an adult or a juvenile. The family of the victim is adamant that Tague should face the consequences of his actions and receive no leniency.

The trial for Kiernan Tague is still pending, with the maximum sentence for second-degree murder in Michigan being life in prison. The tragic loss of Flynn MacKrell serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of reckless driving and the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions on the road.
