Patrick Holland will continue as the executive chairman and CEO of Banijay U.K. after its merger with All3Media.
He will be reporting directly to Marco Bassetti, CEO of Banijay Entertainment.
The merger, valued at $8 billion, was finalized last month. This created the massive entity Banijay Entertainment, based in London and equally owned by the Banijay Group and RedBird IMI, each holding a 50% share.
Jeff Zucker from RedBird IMI is the Chairman, with Bassetti serving as CEO, and All3Media CEO Jane Turton taking on the role of deputy CEO for the newly unified company.
The merger has prompted questions about potential synergies, particularly concerning distribution.
Holland is the first senior executive confirmed to remain in his role. Having joined Banijay U.K. in 2022 from the BBC, where he was the director for factual, arts, and classical music, Holland has overseen projects like “Half Man,” “House of Guinness,” and “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.” In 2023, he also initiated the Banijay U.K. Growth talent investment fund.
After the merger, Holland will manage the majority of the combined U.K. portfolio, which includes approximately 40 labels.
“Having local experts at the helm of our regional portfolios was always a strategic priority, and in the U.K., we are pleased to confirm Patrick as our onward lead,” said Bassetti. “Here we have an expansive portfolio which continues to go from strength to strength, particularly with the injection of All3Media’s producers, and with an expert team at the helm, we have no doubt we can maintain a healthy growth trajectory.”
Holland commented: “The range and depth of phenomenal talent across All3 and Banijay U.K. is truly inspiring and I’m excited to help unlock the vast potential of bringing these businesses together.”
