Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is thrilled to announce its very first open call for digital art commissions, inviting artists from the crossroads of the Americas to submit their innovative proposals. This program aims to provide financial support to artists in South Florida, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the African Diaspora to create experimental digital artworks. Selected artists will have the opportunity to receive awards ranging from $1,000 to $15,000 over a period of approximately 12 months.
Interested applicants are encouraged to submit proposals for original projects at any stage of production, from pre- to post-production. Successful digital art proposals will utilize the internet and digital processes to both conceptually and practically shape their projects. The range of disciplines that artists can explore is vast, including video art, film, augmented reality, net art, 3D sculpture, video games, virtual reality, generative art, and more. The possibilities are endless, with room for new and undiscovered forms of digital art to emerge.
By supporting the creation of cutting-edge digital artworks that reflect PAMM’s unique position at the crossroads of the Americas, the museum is furthering its mission to lead in the presentation, study, and interpretation of international contemporary digital art. This open call for digital art commissions is a fantastic opportunity for artists to showcase their creativity and contribute to the vibrant digital art scene.
